Halloween Cooking Club — Sunday, October 25
Kids cook a Halloween pumpkin dry curry in small teams, then everyone sits down and eats together. Costumes welcome. Last year the plates came out with jack-o'-lantern faces on them.
This is a drop-off session — kids only. Our staff stay beside them for the knife and stove steps.
Afternoon class, ages 8-15: 12:30-15:00 — 7 spots left
Morning class, ages 4-7: 3 spots left
Where: Okinawa City Welfare Culture Plaza
Fee: $45 per child, or $35 with SOFA status (tax-exempt). Ingredients included. Sibling discount: 10% off the 2nd child, 20% off the 3rd and beyond.
Bring: a water bottle. We lend aprons and bandanas.
Applications close Friday, October 23.
Most of the kids are local Okinawan children the same age, so your child spends the afternoon cooking side by side with them. Our staff speak English, so no Japanese is needed.
