This is a PCIe sound card for desktop computers. It works great and provides a very noticeable improvement to audio quality, but unfortunately, my new graphics card is massive and takes up all my PCIe slots. Retail was around $450.
Included is a proprietary DAC (digital audio converter) headphone amp, able to drive 600 ohm headphones like the popular beyerdynamic dt 990s.
Great for music production or editing; if your PC is drawing high wattage it can leak electric interference when the sound is processed on the motherboard. It can produce up to 32bit & 384kHz which is basically like audio research scientist grade audio. Hunt down .WAV format audio of your favorite songs and hear them in literally the best quality possible.
