Connects with any available tap and sink/drain with included inlet+drain combined special attachment. It could be installed like any regular unit permanently if you have the dishwasher tap and sink available in your home. With all attachments paid $1100. Gently used connected to our kitchen sink for about a year. In spotless condition! It was a lifesaver as we were in one of those houses w/o a dishwasher or any dishwasher tap/drain.
